Emboss Logo on Rotomolded Coolers

Your premium branding options — from lid-only embossing to full custom mold designs.

At Boright Industries, we understand that branding is everything. Your logo is the face of your brand, and how it appears on your products matters. When it comes to rotomolded coolers, embossing your logo is one of the most premium, durable, and professional ways to make your mark.

Rotomolded Cooler Mold Structure

A rotomolded cooler mold consists of two main parts: the Lid Mold (forms the top cover) and the Body Mold (forms the main cooler body). In addition, there is a foaming fixture used during the PU foam injection process.

Three Levels of Emboss Logo Customization

When you choose to emboss your logo on a rotomolded cooler, you have three distinct options depending on your budget, branding goals, and design requirements.

Option 1

Standard Design – No Emboss Logo

This is our standard, off-the-shelf design without any custom embossing. Perfect for distributors who want to add branding through other methods like silk screen printing or stickers, or for clients who are still evaluating their custom design.

Who this is for: Entry-level buyers, retailers testing the market, or clients who plan to use other branding methods.

How to Achieve Your Emboss Logo – Two Approaches

Once you've decided where to place your logo, you need to choose how to achieve it. There are two ways to produce an embossed logo on a rotomolded cooler.

✅ Approach 1: Custom Lid Mold Only Recommended

We create a brand-new lid mold with your logo embossed on it, while keeping the standard body mold.

  • Premium, permanent embossed logo
  • Significant cost savings (lid mold only)
  • Easier to update logo in the future

Mold Cost: USD $2,500 – $6,500

✅ Approach 2: Full Custom Mold Premium

We design and manufacture both the lid and body molds from scratch.

  • Emboss logo on both lid and body
  • Customize entire shape, size, and aesthetic
  • Add unique features, textures, or structural elements

Cost note: Approach 2 is the most expensive option, but gives you complete creative control and a product that is uniquely yours.

Frequently Asked Question

One of the most common questions we hear from clients.

Why can't we use a slide/slider in the mold for embossed logos?

This is a great question, and understanding the answer requires a brief look at how rotomolding works.

The Rotomolding Process – A Quick Overview

Rotomolding (rotational molding) involves four key stages:

  1. Loading – plastic powder is placed inside the mold
  2. Heating & Rotation – the mold is heated and rotated along two axes
  3. Cooling – the mold is cooled while still rotating
  4. Demolding – the finished part is removed

Why Slides Don't Work in Rotomolding

In injection molding, slides are commonly used to create undercuts or complex features. In rotomolding, however:

  • The mold is a closed, hollow shell that rotates in all directions
  • There is no "split" or "open/close" action during the process
  • The plastic powder melts and coats the entire interior surface evenly
  • Any moving part (like a slide) would interfere with rotation, create gaps for plastic leakage, and fail to distribute material evenly

The Bottom Line: An embossed logo on a rotomolded product must be hard-tooled into the mold cavity. It cannot be added via slides or inserts. The good news is that once the mold is made, your logo is permanently "baked in" – and you can produce tens of thousands of units with perfect, consistent embossing every time.
